SKIN CARE
Using skin care with anti-inflammatory ingredients is helpful in the treatment of Rosacea. Just to name the most common: Niacimande, licorice, green tea, aloe vera, arnica, calendula, chamomile, cucumber, provitamin B5, perilla leaf extract, red algae, red clover, thyme, willow herb, and zinc. Both brands of our cosmeceutical range (Cosmetic Skin Solution and ASAP) have beneficial concentration of active ingredients. We can help you to find the right products for your skin condition.
Retinol is less irritating form of retinoid and is better tolerated by those with sensitive skin. Retinol has been shown to reduce endothelial growth factors, which can worsen redness in the skin. Topical Retinol should be introduced slowly to the skin to prevent it from causing any irritation that could worsen symptoms.
It is of the upmost importance to protect your skin from sun exposure which is one of the main triggers for flare up of erythema in rosacea sufferers. Our ASAP mineral make-up options are gentle enough to be used by rosacea sufferers, you are more then welcome to chose your favourites.
IPL THERAPY
Photo-rejuvenation using IPL therapy is a non-invasive, non-ablative procedure and its excellent stand-alone treatment, but it can be combined with other therapies. To achieve optimal results, you may alternate series of your treatments with microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser treatment -“Laser Genesis” or injectables. Please keep in mind that the mainstay for keeping your results as best as possible and as long as possible is continuation of medical grade home skin care regime.
LASER THERAPY
At NOVA Laser & Skin, we use the Cutera Nd:Yag medical grade, top of the range laser system for treating Rosacea and facial redness. When treating capillaries with vascular laser, the laser breaks down the walls of the vessels, causing them to collapse, leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. These capillaries are then reabsorbed by the body. This is safe and effective treatment.
Cutera’s signature treatment “Laser Genesis” can also be beneficial in treating background redness, flushing and excess sebum production that is present in Rosacea sufferers. This revolutionary, non-invasive and safe treatment effectively treats variety of treatments and assists in skin rejuvenation, helps to treat large pores, uneven skin texture, fine lines and skin laxity.
LED THERAPY
Rosacea and redness can be a frustrating skin condition and hard to deal with, but that doesn’t mean you cannot have it under the control. LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that works at a cellular level. The soothing, deep penetrating LED lights target deep into cells heightening their internal functions, photo-stimulating dermal blood flow, and creates faster healing. All these factors are contributing in decreasing the size of blood vessels. Consequently, the constricted blood vessels become less visible which in turn reduce severity of the symptoms.

BOOK A CONSULT
Avoidance of trigger factors, previously discussed, is one step towards improvement of your skin condition. Some skin care may aggravate symptoms, particularly those containing alcohol (e.g. in toners), topical steroids and any skin care that irritates the skin such as vitamin A preparations (tretinoin). Changing your skin care or avoidance of certain skin care chemicals may be advisable. Use a non-irritating sunscreen-physical sunblock agents with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide tend to irritate skin less than chemical sunscreens. An initial consultation with Medical doctor / Aesthetic physician is performed to determine the best approach to your skin condition, so personalised treatment program can be formulated specially for your needs and best possible outcome.
